December 2006

Film Fever Radio is proud to announce Episode 37… 37?! (Yes, we make the required Kevin Smith jokes, thankfully, Scott stops me from going into a Dante and Randall infused haze of Geeky line quoting). What? Like you haven’t done that before! Anyway, for the last show of 2006, Aaron and Scott talk about what early 2007 films they are most looking forward to viewing at the local cinema. Well, that was the plan at least… They spent most of the show talking about how to arrange DVD collections and what was on OPB the night before. That’s right folks, the excitement never stops in the Film Fever Radio studios! (See what happens when they record a show sober, they turn into NPR…Sans Alec Baldwin’s Shweaty Balls). They do get around to talking about films in 2007… Just download the show, see for yourself!

Look, we don’t want to hear any grief about the shows not posting until Saturday! Just be glad we were able to pull this bad boy off… While other programs give you best ofs, Aaron and Scott deliver the goods… Live and new! (Well, no so much live, but you get the point). On this not-so-fantastic (though still entertaining) episode of Film Fever Radio, Aaron and Scott reflect on the good times and the not-so-good times in 2006. Complete with poorly copied flashback “woo-woo” sound effects. What was their favorite Film Fever Radio moment? What was their worst? What are the odds that they are one and the same? Well, you are just going to have to download to find out! Speaking of fantastic shows that you simply must download, take a gander at the right column of this fine site. Yes my friends, there is sits… Waiting for your “right-click” and “save-as” enjoyment! The much pimped and desired Film Fever Radio’s Drunken Commentary of the greatest Christmas movie of all time… Die Hard! As always, you can only download the show directly from www.filmfeverradio.com because it is simply too profane for the PG-13 rated antics found within iTunes. Get it while you can… Finally, be sure to check out our man in Vegas, The Low and his newest venture The FOS Podcast with your hosts: The Low and Vegas Batman. Good stuff, give it a listen.

The holiday season is in full swing as Scott “big love” Dally and Aaron “fat lip” Duran run through their favorite Film Fever Radio holiday gifts… Can they do it without giving even more money to George Lucas? What do you think? Can Aaron and Scott make it through one stinking show without mentioning the flannelled one? Sure they can, and, maybe they can record a show without booze as well… However, before such Yule time jocularity, Aaron is forced to review Eragon… A timeless fantasy film in which a young boy is raised by his uncle, taught magic by a wise man and helps a rebellion fight an evil kingdom… Hmm… I’ve seen this before…somewhere… Finally, Aaron shamelessly whores the Geek in the City store… Again. All that and mad pimping of the Die Hard Drunken Commentary. Give it a listen, won’t you please?

Taking the show to the auxiliary Film Fever Radio studio, Aaron and Scott talk about the Winter films they are most looking forward to. They also comment on the sadly lacking holiday themed movies this year. Which films are the Dorknamic Duo anticipating the most? Well… not to give much away, but lets just say it rhymes with… Hockey… Hockey Balboa… Ah yea! Trust me true believers, you haven’t lived until you hear two grown men wax philosophically about an aging Sylvester Stallone. And, for the first time in two weeks, no one died! All that and a hint at the coming Drunken Commentaries!

Once again reversing roles, Scott reviews the newest Christopher Guest film; For Your Consideration. Well, new is a relative term… Still, considering what we have to choose from this time of year, this really is the best we got at the local theater. Anyway, is this newest Guest film worthy of Spinal Tap’ian love? Is Aaron simply trying to fill space in this description? Download to find out. Also, Aaron covers three of the major DVD releases this week with Superman Returns (wait to the inevitable collectors edition), Clerks 2 and the long desired Richard Donner cut of Superman 2. Plus, Aaron and Scott mourn the passing of the very talented composer, Shirley Walker. All that and more on Film Fever Radio… Grab it now!
